Bollywood producer Karim Morani surrenders in Hyderabad

Bollywood producer Karim Morani surrendered before the Hayathnagar police here late night on Thursday in connection with a rape case.This was after the Supreme Court dismissed his anticipatory bail petition and directed him to surrender.

According to the police, the 24-year-old victim had lodged a complaint in January, alleging she was raped by Morani on multiple occasions in Mumbai and Hyderabad since 2015. He allegedly promised her roles in his movies and assaulted



her.

While the police was making moves to arrest him, Morani approached the courts and tried to secure an anticipatory bail.However, the police filed a counter, following which Karim’s petitions both at the High Court and the Supreme Court too were dismissed.

He will be produced before court, which is expected to remand him on Saturday.

Karim had produced hits like ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Dilwale’.
