All booth-level officers (BLOs) will be stationed along with the draft list at the polling stations from September 10 to 25 to help voters to check their names in the draft electoral rolls,

“To further strengthen the process of revision of electoral rolls as per guidelines given by the Election Commission of India, 200 senior GHMC officers will assist the electoral registration officers (EROs) and BLOs deployed at polling stations,” said M Dana Kishore, the GHMC commissioner and the District Electoral Officer (Hyderabad).

Citizens who wish to file application for inclusion, deletion, corrections, claims and objections, can do so near polling stations with the assistance of BLOs. Application forms for the same will be provided.

Disposal of claims and objections will be completed before October 4 and final electoral rolls will be published on October

On Monday, Dana Kishore held a review meeting with representatives of various political parties at the GHMC head office.

Representatives of Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Indian National Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, Telugu Desam Party, Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India attended the meeting. Some representatives said votes have been deleted and names have not been included, despite applications forms having been submitted.

The civic chief instructed all EROs to immediately clear all representations on priority failing which they will face consequences. “Published draft rolls are available on website of chief electoral officer, Telangana (ceotelangana.nic.in),” said D Jaya Raj Kennedy, GHMC additional commissioner (elections department).
