The BRS working president and former minister K T Rama Rao on Sunday alleged that the ruling Congress party deliberately made false statements on expenditure and debits in state.

K T Rama Rao released `Swedha' papers on the total expenditure during the BRS government and debits including assets by investment of funds in different sectors at Telangana Bhavan.

Speaking on this occasion, K T Rama Rao has admitted that even after the BRs government provided jobs to youth, the employees in government, private sector and unemployed youth have chosen alternatives rather than BRS in the recently held elections. They have been reviewing the failure of Assembly elections.

However, the total difference of voting share was only 1.5 percent and in at least eight constituencies, the BRS MLA candidates lost the seat with the margin of just 4000 votes. They would get corrections of their mistakes and would continue in the public domain highlighting the Congress party's failures.

Explaining about the Swedha papers, K T Rama Rao said that when the BRS government came to power in 2014 after formation of Telangana state, it had a deficient budget of Rs 72,658 crore. When the BRS came to power, there were a lot of issues of political, administration, financial issues and scarcity of electricity.

"In 2014, Per capita income was Rs 1,12, 162 crore and it was Rs 3,17, 115 during 2023. Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) was 4.51 lakh crore in 2014 and it was 13.27 lakh crore in

2023. Poverty rate was 21.92 percent in 2014 and it was reduced to 5.8 percent during 2023. It shows the BRS party's best rule in the past nine years in Telangana," K T Rama Rao said.

After the Congress party came to power in the state, the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the Minister deliberately made false statements in the Assembly on the name of White papers. The fact that the budget deficit including loans is Rs 3, 17,015 crores only but the Congress government told in Assembly that a total of Rs 6,71,757 crore.

Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) guarantees loans were Rs 1,27,208 crore, SPV loans Rs 95,462 crore, no government hypothecated loans are -- Rs 59,414 crore. In the Civil supply department, the total loans were Rs 21,000 crore but the Congress party announced in Assembly that it was Rs 50,000 crore loans.

"The BRS government spent funds on electricity -- Rs 1,37,517 crore by creating assets of RS  6,87,585 crore, spent funds on irrigation sector was Rs 1,76,000 crore, funds spent on drinking water Rs 37,000 crore, welfare -- Rs 2,86,230 crore, Tribes -- Rs 92,640 crore, SCs-- Rs. 43,936 crores, Rs 12,000 crore for minorities, employees' pensions and welfare Rs 3.41 crore," the BRS working president said.

KT Rama Rao reiterated that the BRS government had created Rs 50 lakh crore assets in Telangana by investing in different sectors even though faced difficulties in Covid-19 pandemic, demonetization for the past nine years.
