BRS MLC K Kavitha condemned the State government’s attempt to auction farmlands belonging to indebted farmers in Kamareddy district, calling it a “betrayal of trust.” She urged the government to stop it immediately and instead, provide relief to the farmers.
Speaking out against the move, Kavitha criticised the Revanth Reddy government’s attempts to auction lands of farmers from Mylaram, Durki, Nasrullabad, Mirzapur, and Nachupalli villages of Kamareddy district, who obtained crop loans from local Primary
Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS). “The government, which should be waiving loans and supporting farmers, is instead adopting a dictatorial approach,” she said.
Targeting Revanth Reddy, Kavitha said his promises to Ankol Thanda during the election campaign were deceptive. She charged him with harassing them to repay loans taken from cooperative credit societies. “This proves the duplicity of Revanth Reddy and his betrayal of farmers,” she remarked.
