Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said the BRS should change its name to ‘Family Rashtra Samithi’ as it looted the state for the benefit of only one  family. He also said the much talked about welfare schemes of the state government have not reached the people.

Addressing the people after participating in a bike rally in support of the BJP candidate Poosa Raju in the Musheerabad Assembly constituency, Fadnavis said, "The family of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao just looted the state."

Pointing out at the money spent on publicity by the state government, Fadnavis said money spent on showcasing welfare schemes could have been spent on Dalit welfare instead. While Chandrashekhar Rao works for his family, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working for the benefit of the nation," he said, asking people to vote for Poosa

Raju.

Union minister and BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy said, "If the Congress or the BRS comes to power, the state will be left high and dry. They have only looted the state so far."

Participating in the rally, he said, "Sand, liquor and contractor mafias have amassed thousands of crores of wealth in Telangana. The BRS bought Congress MLAs who won in the last polls. The BRS is providing monetary help to the Congress candidates. They had won on the Congress ticket in 2014 and 2018, and switched over to the BRS."

Kishan Reddy said the BRS and the Congress are two sides of the same coin. "A vote for them is a vote for the AIMIM. If Telangana is to be rid of the family rule, corruption and autocracy, the BJP under Narendra Modi should be given a chance. Change is possible only with the BJP, Kishan Reddy said.
