Karimnagar: BRS working president K. Taraka Rama Rao maintained that their party has only hit a speed breaker in the just concluded Telangana Legislative Assembly elections.
"Our party will bounce back very soon. There is no need to be disappointed," he told party workers after paying tributes to a portrait of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on the latter’s death anniversary at the BRS party office in Rajanna Sircilla district on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR declared that the only voice for Telangana is K. Chandrasekhar Rao. "People are still in shock that BRS has been defeated," he remarked. He said sometimes results can be unexpected. BRS is an outcome of several movements. This kind of result is not new to the party, he observed.
He said opposition parties had lured voters in different ways.
They hatched several conspiracies to defeat BRS in the elections. Yet, there are people who voted for development and welfare that BRS government undertook during its reign, he underlined.
"Before elections and while campaigning in Sircilla assembly constituency, I said I will not distribute money or liquor. I have kept my promise. People also did not let me down. They proved that my faith in them is intact," the former minister said.
He maintained that people are still with BRS and have not lost faith in the party. He said BRS will play the role of opposition party that people gave it perfectly.
"The party will become the voice of people. It will exert pressure on Congress government to fulfil the promises it made to people," KTR emphasised.
