BTech student dies in refrigerator blast in Hyderabad

A BTech student died in a refrigerator blast at her house in Bonguluru in Adibatla here late on Thursday.

Police suspect a short circuit led to the blast.

The victim identified as Deepika (18) was studying her first year engineering in a private college.

Adibatla police said Deepika was alone in the house and studying, when the mishap



occurred.

She opened the refrigerator to take out food to eat, when smoke started emerging from it followed by fire.

The locals who noticed thick smoke and blast sound informed the police. The fire personnel rushed to the spot and doused off the flame.

Deepika was charred to death by then. A case has been booked and the investigation is on.
