Chaired by Speaker S Madhusudana Chary, the BAC meeting in the presence of Leader of the House K Chandrasekhara Rao has decided to conduct the session for 16 days as against the previous decision of conduct the same for 18 working days. As per the BAC, the budget session will continue to meet on March 12 and 13 to discuss Motion of Thanks to Governor’s address to the joint session of the legislature.
As Finance
Minister Etala Rajender will present the Budget to the House on March 14, it
was also decided to give a holiday on March 15 paving
the
way for the members to go through the details of proposals and allocations.
The House will function as usual on the rest of the days except the following
three days March 23, 24 and 25. Since March 23 is being Holi festival the BAC decided
to give holidays for three days continuously till March 25 (Good Friday). The
BAC may meet on March 29 to decide whether to continue the session for two to
three days till the end of the month.
