The Budget session of the Telangana State Legislature has been cut short and adjourned sine die after passing the Appropriation Bills in the wake of prevailing Corona Virus situation in the state. The budget session of Telangana was initially scheduled until the 20th of this month. However, in the wake of the Government taking a wide-range of measures to prevent the spread of Corona Virus, the Assembly Budget sessions also got shortened and both the Houses of the Assembly
and Council have adjourned sine die this evening.
Earlier, both the houses have passed the Appropriation Bill for the upcoming fiscal 2020-21 and also passed a resolution urging the centre to abrogate the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019. The Legislature has held sittings for 8 days during its Budget Sessions and held short duration discussions on two subjects, passed 6 bills including Appropriation Bill.
