The Budget session of the Telangana Legislature will begin this morning with Governor ESL Narasimhan addressing the joint session of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council.
The state Annual Budget for 2018-19, which will be the last full-fledged budget of the TRS Government before the general elections in 2019, is likely to be presented on 15th of this month.
However, the meetings of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of both the houses, to be held today, will decide the business. The
session is likely to be stormy as the opposition Congress, TDP and BJP members are getting ready to corner the TRS government on non-fulfillment of its major poll promises especially on providing one lakh government jobs, 12 per cent quota for Muslims, 10 per cent quota for STs, constructing over two and half lakh two- bed room houses for poor and distribution of 3-acre land to Dalits.
On the other hand, the ruling TRS also got ready to reply to all the issues raised by opposition with calm and restraint.
