The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation on Wednesday restored the bus service to the Chidedu village in Manchal mandal of Rangareddy district after a Class 8 student from a government school, P Vaishnavi, wrote a letter to Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana.
TSRTC officials said the Chief Justice alerted TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar about the letter, following which Sajjanar immediately issued orders restoring the bus service.
Vaishnavi along with her sister Preethi and her brother Praneeth were facing inconvenience to travel to school and college due to lack of bus facility. In her letter, Vaishnavi said the bus service was stopped after the second wave of Covid-19. She also wrote that she could not afford auto-rickshaw charges after her father died due to a cardiac arrest last year.
Sajjanar, expressing his gratitude to the CJI for the alert, also congratulated Vaishnavi for taking the initiative of writing to the CJI. Requesting the public to emulate Vaishnavi and bring such issues of public interest to the officials concerned, he said based on requests from villagers, about 30 services were restored across the State during the last one month.
The public could contact the nearest Depot Manager for restoring TSRTC services or contact 040-30102829 and
