Businessman creates commotion at Pragathi Bhavan

Mild tension prevailed for a while in front of Pragathi Bhavan on Sunday afternoon when a cloth trader doused himself in fuel and tried to set himself ablaze.

The man identified as Nazeeruddin, who is into apparel business, doused himself in fuel when police personnel on security duty at Pragathi Bhavan noticed it



and overpowered him. He was later shifted to Punjagutta police station.

“Nazeeruddin claims he was facing financial issues due to the lockdown. He appears to be disturbed and we are counselling him,” said M Niranjan Reddy, Station House Officer Punjagutta police station.
