Businessman held in Hyderabad for selling sand illegally

The Hyderabad police along with Nampally mandal revenue officer on Wednesday conducted raids on the premises of Sandeep construction and building material unit at Jummerat Bazaar in Puranaphool and apprehended a businessman for illegally storing and selling sand to customers without any permission from

authorities concerned.

The raid was carried out following orders from superior officials. The arrested person K. Santhosh Singh, 37, a businessman, was a resident of Lower Dhoolpet. Around 60 tonnes of sand worth Rs.1.20 lakh were seized from the possession of the arrested.
