In Telangana, electioneering reached its peaks with campaigning for the first phase polling of the Lok Sabha elections is coming to an end tomorrow. Star campaigners of major parties are taking part in the electioneering whereas the TRS began another round of intense campaigning across all 17 Lok Sabha constituencies that are going to polls on 11th of this month. 

BJP senior leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and central minister Purushotham Rupala, Congress senior Leaders like Gulama Nabi Azad are among the top leaders who campaigned in the state yesterday whereas TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao resumed his electioneering after the gap of a day.

While addressing an election rally in Peddapalli last evening, Yogi Adityanath said each vote cast for Congress will be considered as voted anti-nationals. He said NDA government at the centre gave a fitting reply to terrorists while the Congress government



served Biryanis instead of giving an opportunity to Indian soldiers to show their strength. He termed TRS government no short of Nizam rule in the state.

On the other hand, campaigning in Nirmal, TRS chief KCR sought support for electing 16 MPs from TRS so that there will be a favourable Government at the centre to get Telangana it is due. He also said a new Revenue Act will be brought forth in June which will address all problems relating to the Revenue Department.

Meanwhile, State Chief Electoral Officer Dr Rajat Kumar informed that the polling in Nizamabad, where 185 candidates are in the contest, will be held from 8 AM to 6 PM now, instead of 7 AM to 5 PM as announced earlier. 

He said mock polling to be held on the morning of the polling day will take more time as 12 ballot units of the EVMs will be used at each polling station in the constituency.
