CANcerRUN to be held on Oct 13

The second edition of ‘CANcerRUN’, organised by Grace Cancer Foundation, will be held on October 13 at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road.

Apart from Hyderabad, the cancer run with the theme of ‘Let Us Overrun Cancer’ will be held simultaneously in Mumbai, Kakinada, Davangere, Nasik, Nizamabad, California, Sydney and Abu Dhabi on the same day.

Over 25,000 health enthusiasts, cancer survivors and others are expected to take part in the run from multiple locations. The members of the Grace Cancer Foundation, which organises the event worldwide, said the presence of cancer



conquerors will instil confidence and hope amongst those afflicted of cancer, that cancer after all is conquerable.

“The cancer run will have three categories of distances including 2K fun run, 5K run/walk and 10K timed event. The last date to register for the marathon is September 20,” said Dr Hemanth Oncologist and the race director and Dr Chinnababu Sunkavalli, Founder and CEO, Grace Cancer Foundation.

On Tuesday, Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar along with fashion designer and model Shilpa Reddy unveiled the cancer run T-shirt.
