Car driver hits Sub-Inspector during drunk drive in Nizamabad

A special drive to check drunken driving went awry, when a car driver drove through the police cordon and ran over a Sub-Inspector of police near Kotagalli locality on Monday night.

The seriously injured police officer Uday Kumar is being treated for non-life threatening



injuries.

Police said the injured officer was working in Four Town police station and took up the initiative to check drunk driving on Monday night.

The police team tried to stop a car, but the car driver sped through the police cordon and hit the SI of Police in the process.
