Car overturns at PVNR Expressway, four injured

Four persons were injured after the car in which they were travelling overturned on the PVNR Expressway at Rajendranagar on Sunday.

The incident occurred when the passengers in the car were proceeding from Mehdipatnam towards Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA).

According to the police, when they reached Pillar No 156 on the Expressway, the driver is suspected to have lost control of the steering due to the slippery road. As a result, the vehicle overturned causing minor injuries to the occupants of the vehicle. Soon



after the incident, the passengers left the place abandoning the car.

On being alerted by another commuter, the Rajendranagar police team reached the spot and towed the vehicle away to the police station. The incident led to traffic congestion on the expressway, which lasted for an hour before the traffic police managed to clear it.

A case was booked and police are yet to identify the persons who were travelling in the car at the time of the mishap.
