The caste census has been kicked off across the state on Wednesday while the enumerators have participated in pasting stickers in all residences in Greater Hyderabad limits, the staff started collecting details in filling in forms in districts.
Around 11.30 am on Wednesday, the Gajularamaram circle Deputy Commissioner of GHMC L.P. Malla Reddy was busy in monitoring the enumerators at ward No, 126 of Jagadgirigutta of Qutbullahpur constituency while the enumerators started pasting stickers on the main doors of residents. Mixed response was evoked among the residents, especially at Jagadgirigutta, where women found fault with the previous BRS government which did Samagra Family survey in a
single day and failed to disclose details and did not provide any benefits.
The state government-initiated caste census programme from Wednesday across the state by collecting details from 1.14 crore residents and at least 88,000 enumerators are participating. In the districts, the enumeration kicked off by collecting data from people.
In Nalgonda district, Collector Ila Tripati inspected several places where the enumerators started collecting details. The Collector explained to the enumerators how to collect details and explain to the people the use of caste census which is being done by the government.
