The Central Bureau of Investigation arrested the Superintendent of GST Medak, for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 8000 on Friday.
The official, Ravi Ranjan, Superintendent of GST, Medak, had demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant for revoking
the suspension of GSTIN of his proprietorship firm, which was suspended due to the non-filing of returns.
On a complaint, the CBI registered a case and laid a trap and caught the official red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000 from the complainant.
