Telangana State will witness the use of cc cameras at all 32,574 polling stations ahead of December 7 Polls according to CEC, Om Prakash Rawat.
He told a video conference with poll bound states from Delhi and asked them to cover the entire process of electioneering using cc cameras. Thus the five states including Telangana will have the polls through cc cameras surveillance. He said that the EC has taken a key decision to this extent to ensure smooth
and transparent polls to avoid misdemeanour.
CEO Rajat Kumar who attended the video conference said that the EC has instructed to set up the cc cameras in all the polling stations. Now we have instructed the collectors, DEOs, SPs and others to coordinate for the same, Rajat Kumar said. Along with Telangana, other states going for polls as per schedule include Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Mizoram.
