A two-member Central
team will tour the state for two days from Wednesday to assess the negative
impact of implementation of demonetisation.
R Subrahmanyam, additional secretary of Higher Education and Anamika Singh, deputy secretary, School Education and Literacy would visit the state. The Central government has constituted several teams with each team consisting of 2 to 3 officers to visit the states and report the situation on the ground after demonetisation.

the currency availability across the state in the network of bank branches,
ATMs and post offices. They would also assess the impact of the decision on
households, farmers, wage earners, traders, industries, informal sectors, small
business, etc, according to official sources. Chief secretary Rajiv Sharma held
a meeting with senior IAS officers at the Secretariat here on Tuesday on the
problems faced by commoners due to demonetisation.
Non-release of new `500 rupee notes, shortage of smaller denomination notes, sufferings of farmers and traders would be discussed, official sources said.
