Finally repeated efforts by Telangana Government has fructified as the Centre agreed to set up All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Bibinagar area in Telangana. Giving its nod for AIIMS at Bibinagar, the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry (PMSSY) Director Sanjay Roy (of the Centre) in a letter addressed to Health Principal Secretary Shanti Kumari has asked the government to give 49 acres additionally for the purpose. The Centre also asked the state government to take steps for providing facilities like roads, water, power supply and land and other facilities as promised. Sanjay has asked the state



government to provide the details for taking further steps in this regard.

Reacting on the issue health minister Lakshma Reddy expressed happiness over the development. He said that a team of the Centre recently visited Bibinagar area recently. He attributed the green signal from the Centre to the efforts by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and state government representatives and MPs in Delhi. Lakshma Reddy extended thanks to the chief minister in this regard. He also thanked the Centre, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Health Minister.
