CEO calls for focus on electoral works

Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj on Thursday directed electoral registration officers in the GHMC area to prepare an action plan for the timely disposal of official business on a daily basis.

CEO Raj emphasised the importance of effectively handling Forms 6, 7, and 8 for voter registration, addressing objections to registered voters, and managing voter transfers.

He was speaking at a review meeting with district election officers



(DEO) and electoral registration officers (ERO) in the GHMC to improve the voter enrolment process. He also directed officials to complete data processing and uploading of all physical forms by September 3.

Vikas Raj directed DEOs to speed up the printing of Elector Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) within the GHMC area. The plan is to print these cards every 15 days and ensure they reach voters promptly.
