The ‘Chalo Delhi’ protest programme that was to be held on February 4 as per the call given by JAC members of University of Hyderabad has been postponed.
The protesting students who have been agitating after student Rohith Vemula had committed suicide, wanted to take out a rally from Mandi House to HRD Ministry to
put pressure on the central government to accept their demands. The protest rally has been postponed after the JAC met the new interim Vice-Chancellor M. Periasamy and put forward their demands.
The three students, who are on the indefinite hunger strike, since January 29, have also called off their strike.
