CM hosts Iftar party at LB Stadium today

Advisor to Government on Minorities Welfare A K Khan today said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will host an Iftar at LB Stadium on Friday and distribute clothes/Ramzan gift packets to the orphans at the venue.

Khan also said all arrangements have been made for tomorrow’s Dawat E Iftar and gave instructions to all the officials concerned for making the program a grand success. He also said over 4.50 lakh gift packets (each packet containing clothes for three members) were distributed among 800 Mosques in the State and Rs 1 lakh released to each mosque for arranging Iftar Dinner. For the current year, the State government has allocated Rs 30 crore towards Distribution of Clothes/Ramzan Gift Packets and Iftar.

In connection with the ‘Iftaar’ party being hosted by the Chief Minister on June 8 between 1700 hours to 2100 hours at L.B. Stadium, City Police Commissioner notified the following restrictions if



required as per the local situation.

At AR Petrol Pump Jn., traffic will not be allowed towards BJR Statue and will be diverted towards Nampally (through KLK Building) or Ravindra Bharati. Traffic coming from Abids and Gunfoundry side will not be allowed towards BJR Statue and Basheerbagh Jn., and it will be diverted at SBI Gunfoundry towards Chapel road. Traffic coming from Basheerbagh Jn. and going towards GPO, Abids will be diverted at Basheerbagh Jn. towards Hyderguda and King Koti road.

Traffic coming from Old MLA quarters towards Basheerbagh will be diverted at old MLA Qtrs towards Himayatnagar Y Jn. Traffic coming from King Koti to Basheerbagh via: Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan will be diverted at King Koti X Roads towards Tajmahal and Eden Garden. Traffic coming from Liberty towards Basheerbagh Jn. will be diverted at Liberty Jn. towards Himayatnagar.
