Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao expressed heartfelt condolences and deep sorrow on the demise of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. 

In a condolence message, the CM said, Vajpayee was a leader in the true sense of the word, an orator par excellence, a statesman and a man admired across party lines. 

He described Vajpayee as a great Parliamentarian, liberalist, humanist and poet. He recalled that Atal ji led politics with highest standards and stood tall as a role model for the country. Stating that he stood for what he



believed for his entire lifetime, Mr Rao said Vajpayee’s demise is a great loss to the nation.

A pall of gloom descended on the BJP Telangana headquarters at Hyderabad as the word spread. 

Party State President Dr Lakshman, former Central Minister Bandraru Dattatreya, Legislator Party leader Kishan Reddy expressed condolences over the demise of their beloved leader. 

They recalled their association with Vajpayee. Most of the leaders left for Delhi to pay their last respects to the departed leader.
