Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao yesterday called on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin in Chennai. This is the first meeting between the two leaders after Stalin assumed charge as the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister earlier this year. The meeting assumes significance in the wake of the TRS government's ongoing row with the BJP government at the Centre on paddy procurement and Mr Rao’s earlier plans of
floating a non-BJP and Non- Congress alliance.
However, there was no official word about the discussions. Family members of the two sides are also present.
Earlier, the Telangana chief Minister performed special pujas at Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple at Srirangam in Tamil Nadu along with his family members.
