A two-day meeting is set to begin today between the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State. Primary concern of the meeting would be to discuss about the water from Godavari river. Speculations are out that the Chief Ministers may decide to divert water from the river to the Krishna basin and Nagarjuna Sagar dam. Doing this would ensure to end the water woes of
both the states, including water scarce regions like Palamuru, Guntur and Prakasam districts. Another plan is being made to divert the water from Polavaram - Penna into Srisailam. The recently friendly relationship between YSRCP'S Jagan and KCR would possibly ensure that the meetings would go on smoothly, say sources.
