CM KCR announces Rs.2 crore for Gymnast Aruna Reddy

Chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday announced Rs.2 crore cash prize to Buddha Aruna Reddy, who won a bronze medal at the recently-concluded World Gymnastics Tournament in Melbourne, Australia.

Aruna Reddy created history by being the first woman from India to win a medal at the event. Aruna Reddy met KCR at Pragati Bhavan here on



Sunday. The CM congratulated and felicitated her.

He instructed that her Coach Brij Kishore should also be given some assistance. Sports minister T Padma Rao, Telangana Sports Authority chairman A Venkateswar Reddy, Aruna Reddy’s mother Subhadramma and her sister Pavani were also present at the felicitation.
