Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao set the tone for early elections in the state, seeking the support, strength and blessings of people of Telangana to enable him to continue the victory march and provide political stability and corrupt-free governance by keeping at bay “evil political forces”.
He presented the TRS government's four-year report card projecting 17.12% average growth rate, the fastest among Indian states, in his Independence-day address from Golconda Fort on Wednesday. Stating that his government has taken several measures in all sectors to put Telangana on the growth fast-track, KCR said job recruitment will be taken up in a big way once the Centre approves the new zonal system to ensure 95% jobs to locals of Telangana. “Second phase of Rs.4,000 per acre sop to farmers will come into effect from November,” he said. He rededicated himself to the cause of Bangaru Telangana and repeated his vow of not resting till the goal is achieved.
CM KCR told that TS is the
exemplary state for implementing the welfare schemes for Minorities. It has provided Rs. 2000 crore in the budget for Minorities welfare. It established 206 residential schools for them. Youths belonging to Minorities are being given loans to the tune of Rs. 2-10 lakh with a subsidy of 80%.
Govt. of Telangana has also decided to set up an IT park for Minorities and Islamic Convention Center with the allocation of Rs. 40 crore. For the said center, 10 acre land has been earmarked at Kokapet.
The CM launched a scheme to extend financial support to backward and most backward castes, and a Rs.5 lakh life insurance scheme for farmers.
Though he did not directly mention early elections, his appeal to the people for their continued support and his announcement two days ago that TRS will announce candidates for Assembly and Lok Sabha polls in September, is being considered an indication that the state may witness early polls.
