CM KCR: BJP pushing India into darkness

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, warning the people of the country that the nation would fall back by a 100 years if the arrogant BJP was allowed to continue in governance, said the fact that violence broke out in BJP-ruled poll-bound States like Gujarat and Karnataka during the Ram Navami Shoba Yatra spoke volumes of the devious methods adopted by the saffron party.

Singling out the BJP government in Karnataka for imposing ban on Hijab, Halaal and other issues which mean nothing to the common man, the Chief Minister said such actions would only cause a severe dent to the IT industry in Bengaluru which employs over 30 lakh directly and another 30 lakh persons indirectly.

Addressing the media at Pragathi Bhavan after a Cabinet meeting, Chandrashekhar Rao said this divisive politics of the saffron party were leading to backlash in other countries like Kuwait where 11 MPs have written to their government to repatriate Indians who could spread hatred in their country. “About 13 crore people migrated to other countries to earn livelihood. If these communal politics continue in India, not only would they be repatriated, but such actions will also ruin India’s international relations. Will the BJP government provide them employment if they are forced to return to their country? What would happen to this nation if the existing industries including IT are shutdown due to these communal hatred? How can we create employment if the investors refuse to come to India?” he questioned.

The Chief Minister warned that the communal madness and temporary devilish pleasure could cause severe damage to the country and push it backwards by 100 years which would be disastrous, unwanted and undesirable. “People of this country should realise this. I firmly believe that



they will react and hit back at these fanatics. I will take the initiative of sensitising the people and intensify our fight in this direction,” he said.

Lashing out at the BJP government at the Centre for ruining the secular fabric of the nation and the federal system for its own political agenda, the Chief Minister said the Centre was making all efforts to weaken the States by usurping the latter’s powers to implement the RSS ideology of ‘Strong Centre, Weak States’ to control the entire country that goes against the federal spirit of the nation.

“The ruling BJP is pushing this country into darkness and creating an unhealth atmosphere by encouraging communalism to meet its political goals. Real issues like economic crisis, lower GDP, unemployment, closure of industries, increased taxation through cess, inflation and others, are being sidelined,” he said.

The Chief Minister said instead of addressing the issues plaguing the country, the BJP government was stoking communal hatred with issues like The Kashmir Files, Pulwama or other issues to divert the attention of the people. “The BJP leadership is trying to incite communal tensions and capitalise these temporary emotions for their political gain,” he said.

Chandrashekhar Rao slammed the Centre for its inefficiency in ruling the country and trying to blame the States to cover the mess it has created. He reminded that the Modi government which was unwilling to spend Rs 3,000-4,000 crore to safeguard the interests of farmers of Telangana by procuring paddy, had waived off nearly Rs 10.5 lakh crore loans pertaining to corporate companies including Rs 12,500 crore of Adani Group alone, to safeguard the corporate criminals who duped the banks and escaped to other countries.
