Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday called on Governor ESL Narasimhan and extended him new year greetings.The Chief Minister had reportedly apprised the Governor of the ambitious programme launched on Monday by the State government to provide round the clock power supply to the farm sector.

He was also understood to have discussed with him the agenda for a brief sitting of the State Legislative Assembly and the legislative council which is likely to be convened soon.

The eighth session of the State legislature was adjourned sine die on November 18 after 16 days of work. As desired by the Chief Minister, the house needs to discuss



important issues such as new Panchayati Raj Bill and BC sub plan before budget session. Hence the house will be convened for a brief session very soon.

Top bureaucrats and elected representatives called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan and the Chief Minister at Pragati Bhavan to greet them on the new year day.

Chairman of the State legislative council Swamy Goud, deputy Chief Ministers Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Kadiam Srihari, Ministers Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Indrakaran Reddy , Lakhma Reddy and Mahender Reddy, Chief Secretary SP Singh and DGP P Mahender Reddy and others called on the Chief Minister on the occasion.
