Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday called on the Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan.
They were closeted for more than an hour and understood to have discussed the new welfare measures sought to be implemented by the State government, including the Rs 8,000 assistance per acre for the farmers and
the response received for the single woman pension scheme.
The implementation of the Telangana land bill that got the Presidential assent recently was also said to have come up for discussion. The meeting assumed significance in view of the extension given to Governor by the Centre.
