Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be going to New Delhi on Monday to participate in the meeting of NITI Aayog scheduled for Tuesday. It is learnt that the KCR held talks with Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Sunday regarding his three-day Delhi tour. The Chief Minister apprised the Governor about various welfare programmes of the government.
Speaking from New Delhi, Telangana special representative Venugopala Chary said the Chief Minister would seek central assistance for flagship projects like Mission Kakatiya, TS iPASS and also for tailor-made schemes for compensating funds following the scrapping of Backward Regions Grants Fund. The Chief Minister’s agenda also includes
seeking assistance for new educational institutes like IIM and tribal university.
Chary added that the Chief Minister would also call on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitaraman\. The Chief Minister is slated to take part in the meeting of NITI Aayog on Tuesday called by sub-committee chairman Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. The meeting will see discussions on the sub-committee report.
The issue of relaxation of loan FRBM (Fiscal Responsibility Budget Management) will also come up in the meeting. It has been learnt that during his visit, KCR will urge the Centre to provide national project status to Pranahita Chevella.
