BRS working president and state minister K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is contesting from Kamareddy to realise the dream of local farmers.
Addressing Praja Ashirvada meetings in Domakonda and Bhiknoor mandals of Kamareddy Assembly constituency on Wednesday, Rama Rao said people should take money from opposition parties and cast their vote for the BRS.
He said people of Telangana are eagerly waiting for Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao’s contest from Kamareddy and Gajwel.
He asked people to come out in large numbers on November 9 when the Chief Minister files his nomination papers. "Opposition parties' candidates should feel afraid after witnessing the huge crowd during KCR’s nomination," he said.
Don’t expect chocolates from BJP leaders. You (people) should get tasty Biryani from the BRS party,’ he said, adding that "if any
party offered cash, voters should accept it and cast their votes in support of the BRS only."
Targeting the Congress, Rama Rao said the opposition party had to agree to grant statehood to Telangana as it had no other option. He reminded people that TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy himself once termed Sonia Gandhi as ‘Bali Devatha’.
Ridiculing Rahul Gandhi, Rama Rao said that a fight began between the Delhi lords and the Telangana people.
"It’s not new for us to fight with the Delhi bosses to protect the interests of the Telangana people", he said.
The Congress came to power in 2004 by assuring the people to give Telangana state and ignored the demand for 10 years, he criticised.
"Why did Congress fail to provide electricity and water for people as it was in power for 55 years," he questioned.
