Mancherial: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to visit the coal belt town Srirampur and will inaugurate two new underground mines, on February 27.
He is expected to announce interest-free housing loans and hereditary employment scheme. Authorities of SCCL are making arrangements for Rao’s visit.
It is learned that Chandrasekhar Rao will tour the coal belt town in the last week of February. He was thought to visit Srirampur on February on 26. But, he was forced to cancel the programme following the demise of his sister on Wednesday. It is still
unclear whether his tour would be take place or not. However, authorities of coal major are busy in making arrangements.
The venue for public meeting, Pragati Stadium of Srirampur, is being readied. Followers and leaders of Telangana Boggu Ghani Karmeeka Sangham, (TBGKS), an affiliate of TRS, are planning to mobilise around 40,000 coal miners during the programme.
Authorities of the State-owned coal giant said that the Chief Minister would formally inaugurate two open cast mines, KK-2 and Kasipet-2 of Mandamarri area during his maiden visit.
