Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao arrives at Tirupati on Tuesday to fulfill his vow to Lord Balaji at Tirumala.Rao had taken the vow at the height of the Telangana movement to offer ornaments to both Lord Balaji and Sri Padmavathi Devi at Tiruchanur.
The Chief Minister will be offering Sri Mula Varna Kamalamu Namuna Bangaru Saligrama Haram and five Petala Kante worth Rs 5 crore. He will also be presenting a gold nose stud to Goddess Padmavathi at Tiruchanur costing Rs 45,000.
On the eve of Rao’s visit, all roads leading to Tirupati from Renigunta Airport and those from Tirupati to Alipiri, the foothills of Lord Venkateswara’s abode,
are decked up with flexies, bill boards, hoardings, banners and flags welcoming the Telangana Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister will be accompanied by wife, Ministers T Harish Rao, K T Rama Rao Etala Rajender, Indrakaran Reddy and Padma Rao. The Chief Minister will leave from Begumpet Airport on Tuesday by a special flight at 4 PM and reach Tirupati by 5 PM. He will spend the night in Tirumala and have darshan of Lord Venkateswara at 8 AM the next morning.
The Chief Minister will reach Tiruchanur at 11.30 AM and have darshan of the presiding deity Padmavathi. He will reach Renigunta Airport at 1 PM and return to Hyderabad.
