IAS officers from the state rendering outstanding services in implementing the government's flagship programmes will soon be awarded by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The awards, designed in line with the PM's award for excellence in public administration, will be announced on April 20 or 21.
The day will also be celebrated as `Civil Services
Day' every year in Telangana, thereafter. B P Acharya, special chief secretary to government, planning department has been appointed as the chairman of the fivemember organising committee set up to work out the modalities, benchmarks and criteria for selection of IAS officers for the awards. The committee will also plan the two day celebrations on April 20 and 21.
