Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is going to leave for New Delhi on Friday evening, will discuss same set of issues concerning the state, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for the third time.
The chief minister will meet PM Modi and other union ministers to discuss various pending issues concerned to the state. The CM is of the view that, despite several appeals from the state government, the response from the Centre is not as expected. It may be mentioned here that in recent times, KCR had met PM Modi twice, in Delhi, to take up the very same issues that he would be discussing with him during this visit. However, the decision of the CM to visit Delhi again has given
rise to discussion about the possibility of early polls in Telangana.
“The CM has decided to go to Delhi personally and stay there for a couple of days and meet the Prime Minister and other ministers to discuss the issues and get approvals,” the chief minister’s office (CMO) informed. The most important approval that is needed is for the zonal system to be created in Telangana. Due to the non-clearance of zonal system by the Centre, there was a delay in the recruitment of panchayat secretaries and others. The CM wants the PM to take personal initiative to see that the central government gives clearance to zonal system immediately.
