Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will unfurl national flag at the historic Golconda fort on Wednesday on the occasion of Independence Day. The Chief Minister will take salute and address the gathering.
Earlier, the Chief Minister will offer floral tributes at Martyrs’Memorial at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad. Meanwhile, all arrangements have been made for the program by the State officials with tight security. The Chief Minister is expected to announce some schemes for the welfare of the poor and welfare of the masses. So far, KCR has doled out some schemes and sops for the people of the State in addition to projects of irrigation and two bedroom housing for the poor and welfare.
The State government strongly feels that “Kanti Velugu” will reach out to
the poor and masses to get rid of their eye ailments. Elated over the success of the Rythu Bandhu scheme which was helping the farmers, the Chief Minister has come up with the Rythu Bheema to help provide Rs 5 lakh to the kin of farmers in case of death. Arrangements have been made to launch the new schemes of Kanti Velugu, Rythu Bheema and Swachch Panchayat across 31 districts of Telangana from August 15.
The officials concerned have made arrangements for the hassle-free, smooth and peaceful conduct of the Independence Day event across the State and the city, even as the entire country was put on high alert to thwart any untoward incidents. KCR has directed the ministers to participate in the Independence Day celebrations in the districts on August 15.
