Hyderabad: Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, Governor ESL Narsimhan and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will be visiting Medaram on Friday to participate in the Sammakka-Saralamma jatra.
Elaborate arrangements have been made for the VVIP visit. Union Minister for Tribal Welfare Jual Oram and other Union Ministers are also
likely to visit the tribal fest on Friday.
According to sources, the Chief Minister will reach Medaram around 1.15pm and spend 20 minutes near the main deity. The Chief Minister last visited the prestigious event in 2012 when he was leading a separate Statehood movement and this would be his first visit as Chief Minister.
