BRS MLC K. Kavitha on Monday, informing that the government had provided dependent job opportunities to Singareni Collieries employees, said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was protecting their interests.

At an Electricity Day event, part of the Formation Day celebrations, Kavitha said that since Telangana’s statehood, the government has provided increments and dependent job opportunities, allowing provision for daughters and

daughters-in-law.

Based on Chief Minister's directions, as many as 15,000 persons, including women, got dependent jobs in Singareni.

"If an employee or worker is not willing for dependent jobs, the government used to provide 10 lakhs before Telangana formation. The BRS government has increased it to 25 lakh. The retirement age is enhanced to 61 years," she said.
