Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to induct former DSP Nalini, who had quit her job during the statehood movement, into government service. The CM directed Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari and DGP Ravi Gupta to take necessary measures to induct Nalini into the services if she was interested.

Revanth Reddy also suggested that officials could accommodate Nalini in another department if the guidelines in the police department did not permit her reinstatement. He was speaking at a high-level review of the Police

Recruitment Board.

Revanth Reddy pointed out that many people had quit their jobs and contested the elections and rejoined the services after they lost. If that was the case, why should there be an objection to Nalini, who sacrificed her job to achieve Telangana statehood, rejoining service.

Injustice should not be meted out to Nalini when political leaders got new posts after resigning from their previous positions during the statehood struggle, the CM said.
