Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his ministerial team extended greetings to the people on the New Year celebrations. Revanth Reddy said the government had resolved to consider 2024 as the year of women, farmers and the youth.
In his message, Revanth Reddy said that Praja Palana had been initiated with the support of all sections of the people. "We removed iron grills, barricades and liberated from all restrictions and introduced people's participation in governance. The government has fulfilled the promise of revival of democracy and freedom for all citizens," he noted.
"Two guarantees out of the six have been implemented. The government is ready to implement the four other guarantees in the New Year. The government aspires to extend welfare benefits to all and promote Telangana as the number one state in development in the country," he said.
"The government has accorded priority to youth empowerment and is preparing an action plan to provide them a bright future through modern technology. The government is ready to overhaul the education system. We are committed to fulfilling the assurances given to farmers," Revanth Reddy said.
He said the government was determined to revamp the stalled administration. "Praja Vani has been launched to address the grievances of people
at Praja Bhavan. Efforts are on to introduce a humane approach in the executive system," Revanth Reddy said.
He said steps were being taken to revive the precarious state economy. The government would release a White Paper on corruption in the irrigation sector soon, he said.
Those waiting for pensions, ration cards and house sites will have their dreams fulfilled soon. "Unlike the previous dispensation, this government opened doors 24x7," he said. The government is also committed to the welfare of the families of Telangana martyrs, he said.
Roads and building minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy in his New Year greetings asked those who come to meet him to donate to the CM Relief Fund rather than on flower bouquets and shawls. "It will be useful for the poor. People do not need to go around leaders under Congress's rule. The Congress party leaders would visit the people's houses to solve their issues," he said.
Civil supplies minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that a new era has begun for the people of Telangana state. "After ten years of repression and dictatorial rule by the BRS, the people again planted the seeds for democratic rule," he said and added, "a festive atmosphere prevails in the state.
