Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy extended greetings to the people of Telangana on the auspicious occasion of Sankranti. In a media statement here on Sunday, he conveyed heartfelt wishes for a joyful and prosperous celebration, encouraging citizens to embrace the festive spirit of Bhogi, Sankranti and Kanuma, which symbolise blessings, light and happiness, respectively. He was hopeful that the festival would bring cheer to nearly one crore farmers, poor families and agricultural labourers across the state.

Highlighting the Congress government's commitment to welfare, he announced that Sankranti 2025 marks the rollout of four key welfare initiatives, including Rythu Bharosa with



enhanced benefits of ₹12,000 per acre for farmers; Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa aimed at supporting landless agricultural labourers with Rs.12,000 per year; distribution of new ration cards ensuring food security and allocation of Indiramma houses to the homeless poor. 

Reddy expressed confidence that Telangana would achieve sustainable growth in agriculture, employment and industrial sectors, paving the way for prosperity across the state. The Chief Minister called upon the people to celebrate the festival with pomp and gaiety, honoring Telugu traditions. He also urged citizens to exercise caution while flying kites.
