Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy yesterday held the Musi River Rejuvenation Sankalpa Padayatra, starting from Sangem in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, to highlight the benefits of the Musi River Rejuvenation Project. Musi is one of the most polluted rivers in the country, affecting people’s health and also degrading fertile land. A large number of party leaders, followers, and ministers accompanied the Chief
Minister.
Mr. Reddy also examined the water in the Musi River. Revanth Reddy’s padayatra, along with local farmers, aimed to draw attention to the pollution challenges plaguing the river. Meanwhile, the BRS and BJP have been opposing the displacement of people, especially the poor, from the banks of the Musi River as part of the Musi River Rejuvenation Project.
