Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with his family members, offered prayers at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on Wednesday. Revanth Reddy and his family members were accorded a warm welcome by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer AV Dharma Reddy, who made special arrangements for their darshan.
Earlier in the morning, the family performed the tonsure ceremony of Reddy's grandson before proceeding for the sacred viewing of the Lord. Accompanied by his wife, daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, the Chief Minister had a devout darshan and sought divine blessings.
After the darshan, Reddy addressed the media and stated his intention to maintain good relations with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. "We will resolve
any issues together and move forward for the development of both states," he said. He announced plans to construct a state guest house and kalyana mandapam in Tirumala for the convenience of pilgrims from Telangana. He also mentioned that he would request the Andhra Pradesh CM to involve the Telangana government in the services of Lord Venkateswara.
Responding to queries on politics, he said that Tirumala is not the place for political discussions and emphasised the need to support farmers and enhance the nation's prosperity. After the sacred darshan, temple priests blessed the chief minister and his family with traditional Veda Aseervachanam. TTD EO Dharma Reddy presented Srivari Prasadams to the Revanth and his family.
