Vakati Karuna, commissioner of health and family welfare, has been selected for successfully implementing KCR kits, a novel scheme launched by the chief minister, to provide a ` 2000 worth protection kit to newborns and mothers.

since she was appointed health commissioner.“Credit goes to the whole team in the health department. I am greatful to the government for recognizing the work done by my team. The scheme has actually helped to improve health standards such as IMR and MMR in Telangana,“ Karuna told.
Social welfare residential societies secretary R S Praveen Kumar and civil supplies commissioner C V Anand are also to be honoured by the CM on Tuesday.
