Collector of Karimnagar instructs officials to demolish illegal structures

Karimnagar: Collector RV Karnan has instructed officials to demolish illegal structures which were constructed without permission. These instructions came during a review meeting on illegal constructions with district level municipal taskforce, revenue, panchayati raj, and police personnel on Monday. 

He asked the officials to demolish multi-storied buildings that were constructed by getting permission only for the ground floor and take action on illegal layouts. Directing the officials to give permission for constructions of buildings within 21 days, he made it clear that there was no need for getting permission for the houses being constructed in 75



square feet area. Officials of all departments including revenue, police, municipal and panchayat raj should work with in coordination and take steps to check illegal structures.

Later, the collector discussed in detail about illegal constructions and layouts in Karimnagar urban, Bommakal, Thimmapur, and Kothapalli areas. He instructed town planning officials to carry out survey in the town every day. Additional Collectors Garima Agarwal and GV Shyamprasad Lal, Karimnagar RDO Anand Kumar, district panchayat officer Veerabuchaiah, district fire officer Venkanna, municipal commissioner Seva Islawath, Tahsildhars, MPDOs, and others participated in the review meeting.
