Congress Sangareddy MLA T. Jagga Reddy appealed to Muslims to defeat the AIMIM in the Assembly polls, alleging that they had done nothing for the welfare and development of Muslims except using them as a vote bank.
He urged the Muslims to support the Congress which had provided 4 per cent reservations for the community in education and employment due to which lakhs of Muslim youths got opportunities to pursue higher education and secure good jobs in the last two decades.
Jagga Reddy was speaking at the Gandhi Bhavan,
where he receive his Form B to contest the Sangareddy seat, from where he is seeking re-election. He called the BRS, BJP and AIMIM were 'one and the same'.
He alleged that BRS and AIMIM were pawns in the BJP's power play and urged voters not to trust them again. The BJP was using AIMIM as a tool to prevent minority votes to Congress, he alleged.
The AIMIM knows nothing except doing politics on communal grounds and incite voters in the name of religion," he charged.
